Outputs
Identification of ecologically sensitive areas threatened by land-based pollution and oil spills.

Development of management and monitoring programmes for these areas.		 Analysis of land use in the coastal zone.
Development of a strategy for the enhancement of socio-economic opportunities and creation of “green jobs”.		 Identification of sensitive areas or “air quality hotspots”.
Installation of equipment for continuous monitoring of pollutants in these areas.
Publication of an Air Quality Index. 

Legal and policy analysis for:

  • The monitoring, protection, and management of marine and coastal areas.
  • The improvement of air quality monitoring and management.

Capacity building workshops for public administrations on the implementation of the proposed management and monitoring programmes.
